Busy with My Favorite Things

Woohoo! Love playing with new goodies. This selection of items was made using the Fright Night set from My Favorite Things...so cute and oh the possibilities.

I love the trick or treaters on this card - they fit perfectly in the Marvy Oval Punches for an added festive look. The edges of the oval are sponged with Pumpkin Pie classic ink from Stampin' Up! and not sure if you can see it or not, but the ghost costume is covered with very subtle glitter.

Other details: CS-Rust, Old Olive, Black, Paper Trey White, SU designer paper, Ink- Staz On Black, Pumpkin, Stampin' Up! markers, Accessories - Stampin' Up! Buttons, Marvy Scalloped Oval punch, Marvy plain Oval punch, Old Olive wide grosgrain.

This Halloween witch on her flying broom likes to remain anonymous, flying above the clouds so you cannot see her head - so clever don't you think? I think one of the things I like about Halloween cards is that I get to use purples, oranges, gray, black - colors I don't find myself using except at this time of the year. Oh and if you haven't tried the new Basic Gray by Stampin' Up! you must - the color is gorgeous - just the perfect shade of gray.

Other details: CS-Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black, Gray, PaperTrey White, Ink - StazOn Black, SU markers, Accessories - sewing machine, Marvy Punches, Polka Dot Sheer Organdy(Walmart), White Gel Pen.

This last project using the MFT set transforms a Starbucks bottle into a little treat for a favorite teacher, friend, mailman...so cute, quick, easy and we get to recycle. The Hershey nuggets labels were stamped using the pumpkin and Trick or Treat sentiment alternating black and orange. Oh and in case you're wondering, it took 16 nuggets to fill the bottle. I used SU Orange grosgrain around the lid, and the SU scalloped circle to create a festive cover for the lid. The outside is wrapped in designer paper from Stampin' Up! and the trick or treat witch is again from MFT - she is stamped using StazOn Black and colored with the SU markers.

So what do you think? Ready for Halloween? Hope you have a few ideas to inspire you and if you don't already own this set, you can go here to get yours!
